This allows businesses to use Meta IT as one technology partner across multiple areas of their operation.

Yes. We can provide ongoing business IT support covering areas such as computers, users, Microsoft 365, software, networking, security, backups and general day-to-day IT issues. We can also support businesses as they grow, add employees, open new locations or upgrade their technology.

Yes. We can help businesses with Microsoft 365 licensing, setup, users, email and ongoing support. We can also help with the wider IT environment surrounding Microsoft 365, including devices, security, backups and connectivity.

Yes. Meta IT can supply and configure business IT hardware including desktops, laptops and other network or IT equipment. We can prepare equipment for the customer and assist with the setup of users, software and Microsoft 365 where required.

FTTP provides a fibre connection directly to the premises and can offer excellent speeds for many businesses. A leased line is a dedicated business connection and can provide features such as symmetrical upload and download speeds, dedicated bandwidth and business service levels depending on the service selected. The right option depends on factors including the number of users, cloud usage, VoIP, required speeds, resilience and how dependent the business is on its internet connection. Meta IT can check the available options and help you choose an appropriate service.

Yes. For businesses where internet availability is particularly important, we can discuss backup connectivity and failover options. This may include a secondary fixed connection or suitable mobile connectivity depending on the premises and requirements.

In most cases, yes. Existing business telephone numbers can usually be transferred to a new VoIP service through number porting. We'll check the numbers and existing service before the migration and help manage the porting process.

Yes. A cloud VoIP system can allow authorised users to make and receive business calls using compatible desk phones, desktop applications, mobile applications or Microsoft Teams where configured. This allows employees to remain connected to the business phone system when working remotely or away from their usual desk.

Yes. Microsoft Teams integration is available for suitable VoIP configurations. This can allow employees to make and receive external business calls using Microsoft Teams alongside the collaboration tools they already use. We'll discuss whether Teams integration is appropriate for your organisation when designing the phone system.

Call recording is available on suitable systems and configurations. It can be useful for businesses that require recordings for training, quality monitoring, record keeping or other operational requirements. We'll discuss your recording and retention requirements when specifying the system.

Yes. Poor business Wi-Fi can be caused by many things, including access-point placement, building construction, interference, insufficient coverage or an unsuitable network design. Meta IT can assess the existing environment and recommend changes to improve coverage and performance. This may involve repositioning or replacing access points, adding additional coverage or improving the network infrastructure supporting the Wi-Fi.

Yes, where it's appropriate for the customer's requirements. We can provide modern business Wi-Fi solutions including Wi-Fi 7 technology, but we don't recommend equipment simply because it's the newest option available. We'll consider the building, connected devices, applications, performance requirements and budget before recommending the solution.

Yes. Meta IT installs structured network cabling including Cat6 and Cat6A, as well as fibre infrastructure where required. We can provide individual data points through to complete cabling installations for offices and other commercial premises.

Yes. We can assess existing communications cabinets and network infrastructure and help reorganise, upgrade or replace equipment where required. This can include cabinets, patch panels, network switches, cable management, patching, labelling and associated network infrastructure. We don't automatically replace equipment that is still suitable. Where practical, we'll retain existing infrastructure and improve what's around it.

Yes. Meta IT designs and installs commercial CCTV systems. We can provide new installations, upgrades to existing systems and additional cameras where suitable. We'll assess the premises and recommend camera positions, recording requirements and suitable technology based on what needs to be protected.

Remote viewing is available with suitable CCTV systems and configurations. This can allow authorised users to securely view cameras using compatible devices when they are away from the premises. We'll configure the appropriate remote access as part of the installation where required.

Yes. Meta IT installs commercial access control systems for single and multiple doors. Solutions can include cards, fobs, PIN access, user permissions, door controllers and suitable electronic locking. We can also provide video door entry alongside access control.

Access control gives businesses greater control over who can enter different areas of a building. Individual credentials can be issued to authorised users and removed when they are no longer required without needing to recover or replace every physical key. Permissions can also be configured differently for different users or areas depending on the system selected.

Yes. We provide video and audio door entry solutions for commercial premises. These can allow employees or reception teams to communicate with visitors and release an entrance where appropriate. The exact solution will depend on the building, number of entrances and how the organisation wants visitors to be handled.

Yes. Meta IT provides wired, wireless and suitable hybrid intruder alarm solutions for commercial premises. We can provide new installations, upgrades and expansion of existing systems depending on the equipment already installed.

Yes, and this is one of the main advantages of working with Meta IT. For a new office, relocation or refurbishment, we can potentially provide the internet connection, network infrastructure, structured cabling, Wi-Fi, VoIP, IT equipment, CCTV, access control, video door entry, intruder alarm and meeting-room AV. This gives the customer one point of contact across much of the technology infrastructure within the premises.

Yes. Ideally, involve us as early as possible. Internet connections in particular can have lead times, so planning early gives us more time to check availability and arrange the required services. We can also plan the network, Wi-Fi, cabling, VoIP, IT, security and meeting-room requirements for the new premises.

For services where a site assessment is required, such as CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, cabling, intruder alarms and some AV projects, we can arrange a site survey to understand the requirements before preparing the solution and quotation. Contact us with some information about the project and we'll advise on the next step

Yes. Businesses don't necessarily need to be starting from scratch to work with us. We can review the existing environment, understand which services and contracts are currently in place and discuss what can be migrated or taken over. Where existing equipment or services are still suitable, we'll consider whether they can be retained rather than replacing something unnecessarily.

Many of these systems depend on each other. Your VoIP phones depend on the network and internet connection. Your Wi-Fi relies on the network infrastructure. CCTV and access control may also use the network. Having one technology partner responsible for multiple parts of the environment can make projects and ongoing support considerably simpler. Instead of trying to work out which supplier is responsible when there's a problem, you have one company that understands the wider setup.
